I had a wonderful time when I traveled to London to research An Old Money Murder in Mayfair, the fifth book in the High Society Lady Detective series.
Many of the grand townhouses that the posh set lived in during the 1920s have either been torn down or converted to commercial or diplomatic uses, but I was able to visit many landmarks that remain, including Harrods, The Savoy, Hyde Park, and Trafalgar Square.
I wandered around Mayfair and had a decadent afternoon tea. I also spent several hours soaking up the atmosphere of Hertford House, one of London’s elegant townhomes, which now holds the Wallace Collection.
Thanks for sharing these lovely pictures, I know your book will transport us there. Happy writing Sara.
Thanks, Nancy! I love traveling to research the books. I hope we’re all able to travel again soon. :)
