My trip to the Derbyshire countryside inspired me as I wrote the Murder on Location series. I visited the famous village of Bakewell as well as two stately homes, Chatsworth House and Lyme Park. Because I’m an Anglophile at heart, I enjoyed the green scenery and the grand country estates.
I soaked up the atmosphere and took tons of photos to help me create my fictional village, Nether Woodsmoor, and the local stately home, Parkview Hall.
You can read the books inspired by my research trip in the Murder on Location series, a seven book English village cozy msytery series. The first book is Death in the English Countryside.
