Amsterdam has some of the most amazing art in the world and I enjoyed seeing some of my favorite paintings up close. I was surprised at the small size of Vermeer’s paintings in the Rijksmuseum. Unfortunately, the van Gogh museum doesn’t allow photos so I don’t have any pictures from there, but I enjoyed seeing the change and growth of van Gogh as an artist on my visit there. The Museum of Bags and Purses was also on my must-see list. Anyone who’s read the Ellie books knows I have a fondness for purses, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see the history of handbags!
