I was lucky enough to visit Derbyshire while researching the Murder on Location books.
The second book in the series, DEATH IN AN ENGLISH COTTAGE, takes place in the quaint (yet imaginary) village of Nether Woodsmoor.
Here’s some pictures I took of places that inspired me:
Inspiration for Nether Woodsmoor’s high street.
Inspiration for the church and church hall.
Exterior of Chatsworth, inspiration for Parkview Hall in Death in an English Cottage
Close-up of one of the dry stone walls
Walk in the English Countryside near Lyme Park
Rolling, wooded hills of Derbyshire (sheep included)
The Old Wellington in Manchester inspired the White Duck pub
Spring flowers and a stone wall near Lyme Park
